Tigers News · Muthiah and Hampton, December Student-Athletes of the Month

Caleb Muthiah, 12-Basketball, 4.17 GPA

Caleb leads by example.  He is consistently one of the hardest workers in the gym during the off season, practices, and in games.   He sets the standard for the type of work ethic we want to see in our players.  He is constantly praising his teammates and encouraging them.

Caleb spends time working with and talking with younger players about their development and what they need to do to improve.  He is always one of the first to volunteer when we need help with a youth camp or clinic, and is great when interacting with youth.

Caleb is disciplined, kind, and hard working.  He is committed to being his best self as an athlete, student, and person.  Caleb is kind to everyone he interacts with.  He goes out of his way to make sure that others are included and feel like they belong.

Sicily Hampton, 11-Basketball, 3.94 GPA

Sicily is a first year starter for the Varsity Girls Basketball team.  She has been a steady force early in the season averaging double figures in points scored.  Sicily displays great leadership abilities as she leads vocally and by example for our program.  She has committed to becoming a better basketball player and that hard work is paying off for her.

Besides being a great leader and hard worker, Sicily is kind and respectful to all she comes into contact with.  Her coaches and teammates respect and admire her.  Sicily can be found on Saturday mornings helping out with Tiger Paw Basketball and any other volunteer opportunities that come her way within the program.

Sicily is a dedicated student who truly understands what it means to be a student-athlete.  She is a great role model for players in our program, athletes in the high school and for our youth in the community.
